About

Stories of open is an effort to gather and disseminate lived experience narratives about openness and peer review from folks in the Library and Information Science field. The project grew out of a research project and culminating book by Emily Ford, Associate Professor, Urban & Public Affairs Librarian, and open peer review researcher at Portland State University.

The stories shared on this site have been shared openly, in the interest of allowing our field and community to examine and reflect on peer review, openness, and to learn from our colleagues’ lived experiences.

The work on this site continues the work of a qualitative narrative inquiry based study, funded by a Portland State University Faculty Development Grant.
